How to move your Song Library from one computer to another - MediaShout 7

To move your Lyrics from MediaShout 7 on one computer to MediaShout 7 on another computer, please follow these steps:

1. Close MediaShout 7

2. Go to this location on your computer: C:\ProgramData\MediaShout

Note: The ProgramData folder is Hidden by default. So, if you don't see it, you may need to set your system to Show Hidden Files .

3. Copy the MediaShout 7 Folder and paste it onto a Flash Drive

4. Eject that Flash Drive from the first computer and plug it into the second computer

5. Go to this location on the second computer: C:\ProgramData\MediaShout

6. Drag the MediaShout 7 Folder in this location to the Desktop.

7. Then, copy the MediaShout 7 Folder from your Desktop and paste it into the Lyrics folder (C:\ProgramData\MediaShout) on the second computer 

 

 

To add your Lyrics from MediaShout 7 on one computer to MediaShout 7 on another computer, please follow these steps:

1. Open MediaShout 7 on the computer that has the Library that you want.

2. Click on the Music Note icon in the top left (Insert Lyrics).

3. In the top right corner, click on the Edit Tab.

4. In the library on the left, select the very first song in the list

5. Scroll to the bottom of the list of songs and then hold SHIFT while selecting the very last song in the library - this will highlight ALL songs in the library.

6. On the lefthand side of the Lyrics window, click the Export Lyrics to file button.

7. Save the file to your Flash Drive with the name Lyrics.json

8. Open MediaShout 7 on the second computer

9. Click the Insert Lyrics button

10. In the top right, click on the Edit Tab

11. Click the icon on the left side of the Lyrics window that says "Import Lyrics (from library or V6 ssc file)

12. Navigate to the Flash Drive and select the Lyrics.json file that you saved there.

13. This will import and combine it with the existing library that you had in MediaShout 7 on this computer
