cannot add to the list. We use USB camera's to record, but no video capture cards.

Chuck,
The list is what I had when I started this thread. Any comments left here act as the growing list as more devices are found to work. Please leave the technical information about the devices you are using so that others may benefit.

We use a Microsoft LifeCam Studio HD with a 30' amplified USB extension cable. It'll work within MS for a live feed, but we use it outside MS to video the sermon for our website. I've tried it both within and without MS, in either case due to 3 monitors driven from 2 video cards, and other peripherals, it taxes the system, but will do what we need. So you can add that one to the list. If you want to see what it can do, visit www.pdpres.org and look on "Our Messages" tab. I upload the videos to another service and add links on the website. Remember, these videos are recorded concurrently on our HP M9340f system while the projector, control monitor and stage monitor are all in use.

I wish I could edit previous posts..... I just went to the church and double checked. I can indeed get video feed using the above setup; however if it's important, I cannot get the onboard microphone to send audio through MS. It does work when using the recording software that came with the camera, but it won't with MS.

Chuck,
Thanks for the input.
I don't think audio is supported from these devices, because the quality is not as good as you get with your standard speaker and choir mics. So much so, it didn't make and sense to spend the development money on it.

no argument about the quality from me there John. I have to dub the system recorded audio over the video feed recorded from the device to assemble a sensible video when I post to the web.

Another report just came in for the Osprey-700(SDI). This device does not support audio and retails for $1500.
