NOTE: This will reset the application back to factory defaults including replacing the song database. You may want to back up any MediaShout files prior to trying this. If you have a large number of songs that have been added to the song database, then you can export them as text files and re-import them into the new installation using the instructions in our knowledge base article entitled Exporting & Importing Songs as a Text File on Mac.
1. Close MediaShout.
2. Go to Library/Application Support/MediaComplete/Lyrics and move the song database file (SongsM1.lyrics) to another location. (This removes the file but does not delete it just in case.)
3. Go back to the MediaComplete folder and delete a file named “SongPersistentSore.sqlite”.
4. Go to [user account]/Library/Preferences, find, and delete any MediaShout preference files (i.e. “com.MediaShout....”).
5. Download the attached default song database, unzip, and copy into Library/Application Support/MediaComplete/Lyrics.
If this doesn’t work, then we recommend doing a "clean" reinstallation of MediaShout using the instructions in our knowledge base article entitled Clean Reinstallation on Mac.
