Sometimes users who use MediaShout on a computer that has a NVIDA graphics card experience an issue where playing a cue with a video will pop up that same video over the main control screen until it finishes.  This make it difficult to use the program.  This is actually a feature specific to the NVIDIA video cards called the Full Screen Mirror Feature.  You have to go into the NVIDIA video card settings and disable this feature to prevent this from happening.

Here are some instructions for turning this feature off that we have discovered for some models.  You will need to make sure the computer is connected to a secondary monitor or it may not give you the options for the following instructions:

  1. Right click on the desktop.
  2. Choose Properties  (Personalize in Vista).
  3. Click the Settings tab.  (Display Settings in Vista).
  4. Click the Advanced button.  (Advanced Settings in Vista).
  5. Click on the GeForce tab.  (Properties should pop out to the left.)
  6. Click on Full Screen Video.
  7. On the right, look for Full Screen Device.
  8. Change it to Disable.
  9. Apply the settings.

Some of the newer NVIDIA user interfaces use the NVIDIA Control Panel.

  1. Right click on the desktop.
  2. Choose Properties  (Personalize in Vista).
  3. Click the Settings tab.  (Display Settings in Vista).
  4. Click the Advanced button.  (Advanced Settings in Vista).
  5. Click on the GeForce tab.
  6. Click the Start The NVIDIA Control Panel button.
  7. Select Full Screen Video Controls.
  8. Make sure it is set to "Only Use It In My Viewing Application".

There are several different models out there now that may have a different NVIDA user interface.  You can go to the NVIDIA web site if you need more information about this or if you need to contact NVIDIA for additional support.
