Unfortunately, we do not have a way of converting songs from other software companies like SongShow Plus, Easy Worship, etc.  This is because those companies have proprietary database formats which we can't access without illegally unlocking them.  (For more information, see the Wikipedia article on the DMCA.)

Similarly, MediaComplete locks most of our databases.  This includes the song database (Songs3.mdb) and a number of the bible databases as well.  While we are aware the this can make it difficult for users who desire to get into the "root" of the song (or bible) database and tweak it, we lock these databases to demonstrate a good faith effort to music and bible publishers that we are honoring and protecting their copyright.  The best option we have for importing songs is via SongSelect, CCLI's online song database.  This allows an organization to quickly and easily download the songs they sing directly into MediaShout.

NOTE:  SongSelect only has published songs.  If you have a songwriter in the church, there is not way to import songs other than to copy and paste (or type) the stanzas into MediaShout's new song wizard.  You can access the new song wizard the following way:

1. Go to the Songs deck.
2. Click the Song Library Tools Menu button.  (blue triangle in the top right corner)
3. Select Add Songs>From Scratch.

1. Go to Tools>ShoutSinger.
2. In ShoutSinger, go to Song>New.
