Best way to structure scripts & cues for our ministry?

Our organization has a number of multi-day workshops. I'm wondering if it would be best to:
1. Create a different script for each workshop, with multiple cues for each day
2. Create a different script for each day of each workshop

The MediaShout driven aspect the workshops is primarily audio and video, with the occasional image or presentation. We're moving away from iTunes. In iTunes we had playlist groups for each workshop, and each day had its own playlist within that group. Our most media intense workshop is 4 days long, with 10 image/text based slides and 18 songs/videos on the first day (just to give context).

I know that option #1 will be fewer scripts and more cues in each script, while option 2 would be more scripts with fewer cues in each one. I'm just wondering if there is a clear advantage to one way over the other.

Hi Ian!

Thanks so much for reaching out! Those are great questions. While it does come down to personal preference, I would personally recommend option 2. I think that the ability to navigate through each workshop individually is the most flexible and stable option for what you're trying to do! Having all of the cues in one script could work, however, given there are so many videos and things you'd like to use, the less in ONE script the better, as videos are very large in size so they start to weigh down a script if there are so many of them at once.

If you have any more questions about this, let me know, I'll be happy to help!

Thanks and God bless!
