Our church has MediaShout 2. We are currently looking into upgrading to version 6. Any suggestions on how our version 2 data can be migrated?

Hey Sean!

We don't actually have an upgrade path coming from MediaShout 2 to MediaShout 6. It would require that you purchase the Full Version of MediaShout 6. Then, we can try to export your song Library and Convert it for you on our end through MediaShout 3 or 4 to be used in MediaShout 6. Email us at Support@MediaShout.com when you are ready to do that conversion and we'd be happy to help!

Thanks and God Bless,

You might want to read this thread before you make a decision https://support.mediashout.com/592335-is-anyone-pleased-with-media-shout-6.

We were strongly urged to upgrade from v4 (which mostly works) to v6. It is a very steep learning curve and the program seems buggy.

Hope this helps.

Hi!

Thanks for your input. We just released 6.3.80 and we are VERY happy to say that MediaShout 6 is EXTREMELY stable. It does not crash for no reason. If it freezes or crashes, there is something else that is causing this. Yes, there is definitely a learning curve. But, we do feel that the changes are for the better. The more you use it, the more comfortable you should become with it.

If you're willing, reach out to me directly and I'd be happy to look into the issues that you seem to be having. Ryan@MediaShout.com

Thanks again!

Hi Ryan,

It seems a little more stable after installing the patch and fixing the display resolution. Will keep an eye on it and let you know.
