Half of Screen Black.

We Just recently got a new computer and TV for our Kids area. I have set the resolution correctly according to the trouble shooting solutions. For every picture and video half the screen is black and the image shows up on the other half as if its been slid over. (I attached a picture) I can't seem to find anywhere that someone has had this same problem with a solution. I know Media Shout is the problem since I have used other programs and they work fine. I have even messed with the resolution settings trying different things but I get the same problem but the image changes size. Any suggestions? I'm needing to figure it out by Wednesday.

I would be happy to help you. The problem is that Windows has a scaling/zoom feature turned on. So your normal computing would look fairly normal, but MediaShout isn't designed to work with those features, so it will be affected.

Close MediaShout then go to the Windows display settings by right clicking the desktop, going to Display settings.

Then go to ALL displays (however many you have by clicking the boxes with the numbers in them) and make sure on all of them, that there is NO scaling turned on. Under scale and layout, "change the size of text, apps, and other items" should be set to 100% and no more, not 125% or 150% for instance.

If you have to change it on any of them, be sure to apply it, then you'll need to log out and back in on the windows account or just restart.

Then if everything else is okay on the settings (mediashout.com/screens) then you should be good!
