How can we get into sub-directories?

We like to compartmentalize the videos, sermon slides and such. The settings menu doesn't seem to allow any depth of access: I need to have the stuff I'm looking for in the default folder, or change it to get to them. Can you add code to allow this? With thousands (literally) of songs, you can bet we have a LOT of places to look for the backgrounds and such.

Hey there,

I'm not sure I fully understand what it is that you're looking for. Are you wanting to be able to add Folders and Sub-folders to the Library tab on the right side of MediaShout 7?

Tell me a little more about what you're looking to do and I'd be happy to try and help.

Thanks!

As it is now, the default folder in settings is displayed in Library. But none of the sub folders in that main folder are visible. We don't want to give up the compartmentalized structure. The simplest solution should be to allow sub folders in Settings.

Ah, I see what you mean. That is something they are planning to implement into MediaShout 7. As of right now, you are absolutely correct. It will just show the initial folder but not the sub folders. That should be coming very soon, however.

Thanks,

This issue has been out here for 1 1/2 years so far and is pretty basic. Any progress yet?
We need to be able to view more than just a bunch of loose files in one folder. Anything else is close to worthless.

Hey Drew,

Unfortunately, we don't have any change on this feature as of yet. As I'm sure you've seen, COVID-19 has really made things difficult for our Development Team to get things done as quickly as they have in the past. I apologize for this.

I am hopeful that they will have a fix in one of the next updates, I'm just not sure exactly when that will be. I know the team is working as hard as they can to get something for us, however.

Thanks,

-Ryan
