My old version allowed for choosing several verses, then insert into the script. How do I select several verses instead of drag them one at a time?

Hey Steve,

Support for MediaShout 5 actually requires a Plus Membership.

But, when selecting your Scripture, you would choose the Starting Verse and then Ending Verse. This will give you those to and everything in between.

If you need something further, check out Plus (www.mediashout.com/plus).

Sorry, I meant several scriptures, not verses. My older version allowed the selection of all scriptures before inserting them into the script.

Hey Steve,

Can you provide an example of what you were able to insert all at once? Is it multiple Books? Or just different chapters within one Book?

This will help me determine if this is possible in MediaShout 5 or not.

Again, this usually requires a Plus Membership, but I want to try and help out anyway I can.

Thanks for your response. Let’s say I need Luke 2:-7, John 1:4, Rev 15:1-9 and Gal 7:12. Instead of selecting individually and inserting to the script can I select them all and then insert to the script?

Hey Steve,

I see what you mean. Thank you for those examples. In MediaShout 5, it only allows you to do one at a time. I think the easiest way to accomplish your example is to use the Bible Deck on the left side of MediaShout 5 to find and drag in the needed Scripture. Then, go and find the next one and drag it in. This seems to be quicker than going to Insert > Bible and doing it that way.

Thanks,

That’s what I’ve been doing. It’s a shame they eliminated the previous method. Thanks.

I apologize about that.

Steve, I agree, I have Mediashout 6 and I have to insert verses individually. If you only display a few verses it's not a big deal but when you have over 20 verses for each message I wish they had an option where you could put in more than one verse at a time. Also you used to be able to put in the whole reference, for example John 3:16 but now you can only type in John 3 and it will pull up the chapter but you have to manually select the verse to start and stop. Seem like a minor thing they would fix but they haven't yet?

Hey Jarrod!

Is your message referring to MediaShout 6?

MediaShout 6 allows you to insert multiple verses at once (as long as they are all in a row). You can also type in the full Scripture (John 3:16 or John 3:16-17) and hit enter and it will pull that up as well.

Let me know if you are using a different version or if you are seeing something else (or if I am misunderstanding).

Thanks,

Hey Ryan,

I have Mediashout 6 for the Mac and it does not allow that. I can type the book and chapter but that’s it.

Still too time consuming. The old version was more user friendly and faster in this area. Especially for those who can’t type fast.

Hey Jarrod,

Ah, I see. Yes, on the Mac side that is a bit different. There seem to be some issues where it works sometimes, but it also just goes back to John 3:1 most of the time as well. I have mentioned that to the team to make sure they are aware of this.

Thanks,
