Remote Page Advancement

Does anyone know of some type of device that I can plug into my PC that will let me remotely advance the slides in Media Shout? There are times where it would be nice if my pastor could advance the slides during his sermon without having to tell the operator when to do it. The simpler the better. Something that can emulate the spacebar press on the keyboard.

Thanks

Hey Jay!

Any Programmable Remote would work really well with MediaShout! This would give you the ability to assign the forward button to be F9 and the back button to be F7. Then, you wouldn't even need to configure MediaShout to work with it, it will just see it as you hitting those keys on your keyboard to go forward and backward.

Any other remote with a forward and back button should work. We have used the Logitech R400 presenter in the past and it has done a very good job. https://support.mediashout.com/051566-Logitech-R400-Presenter

Lastly, we do have an iOS Remote App that would allow you to control the service from your device. I see this used mostly for a one-time event, not something that would be used weekly as a long-term solution.

I hope this helps!

What is the iOS remote app? I think both of these ideas would also be good for when a visiting speaker brings their own presentation

It is just called MediaShout Remote App, I believe. Search MediaShout in the Apple App store to find that app for MediaShout 6 and older.
