Powerpoint Import Questions

We have to import Hymns from Powerpoint (Methodist Church Hymnal) and as we bring the images in, they all need to be rescaled. Is there a setting were not doing to keep from having to do this? Weve also seen weird things happen when the images are brought in, some will magically copy themselves into another cue. Anyone else seeing this?

I would be happy to help you every way possible. We haven't seen anything like the images becoming part of another cue. I'd be interested to see a copy of the Powerpoint files you're trying to import, so we could test. We are aware of some scaling issues, and have it on our short list of things we're hoping will be resolved in the next month or so on the next update. At least some improvement in that area for where it will automatically do the scaling you'd normally have to do manually.

Since I posted this we havent had the issue again, hopefully im not speaking it into existence, I think it may have been due to tryng to move cues around in the script. What we are doing now is making sure all cues are not "expanded" before moving around in the script and also pasting after a blank cue.

Gotcha, that makes sense. Just keep us posted if you do see it and we'll be ready to assist!

I had that same problem many times today building my first script in V7, suddenly the next cue has part of what I just pasted

adding blank cues and pasting in between them seemed to work

V7 is heck of a lot easier to learn than 6 was, a lot of stuff underneath that the help line was able to point me to

Thanks for the info there. If you see that behavior consistently, I would definitely consider submitting a bug report to us with the 5-6 steps you took in order to repeat the issue you're seeing, and the QA team will test it and get it filed appropriately to be fixed! Here's a link to that: https://support.mediashout.com/925655-Submit-a-Bug-for-MediaShout-7-Windows

Great news on that. We have discovered what causes that on some user's systems/Powerpoints and have a fix for the next update. I hope that will be in the next couple of weeks, but of course, I can't promise, as it's dependent on any issues that may arise.
