Renumbering verses, choruses, etc.

In previous versions, I was able to assign any number to a verse, chorus, bridge, etc. Cannot find that capability in v6 but would find it very useful, particular when working with multiple hymnals. Sal, MediaShout does allow the renaming of Stanzas, but only if that Stanza is not in use. For example, if Verse 1 is actually the Chorus, and a Chorus is already in the Playorder, then renaming it calls it Chorus 2. So this is what I usually recommend. 1. Open the Insert Lyric dialog. 2. Select t...

Text & Liturgies

To be able to attach different audio file to each page of a text or liturgy Mel, Unless there is something specific you are trying to do, this is already possible. If you drag each audio file onto the desired page of the cue, when you go from one page to the next, one audio file will fade out as the other fades in. Thank you John. Hi John, I Tried draging the audio files to the pages in the cue, but it doesn't work in Windows 7. Mel, I just tested this on Windows 7 and it work the same for m...

Default bible version MS6

At present if more than one Bible translation is present in MS6, then at start up the first in the list is selected as default, meaning the version has to be changed to that required every time the programme is used. I suggest that it is made an option to set a Bible Translation that is selected as default every time the programme is started. AJ, This feature is included in the latest update (B65). The way it works is, it will revert to the last Bible used while MediaShout is open. Then the n...

auto blank page after bible cue/ add previous-next verse

I was updating from MS3, and there is an option for auto blank page before/after all verses. There is also a function that I can click once and add the previous verse/next verse, which will allow high flexibility during the sermon. Is it possible to add it back? Yat, We now look at cues as Pages. Since the number pf pages in a cue can vary, we can't save a blank at the beginning, but you can save it to the end. If another blank is needed at the beginning, it will need to be added after the cu...

Text Object Effects - Transition - Fade

The present options (MS6) for the "Fade" transition are; Fade through black and Fade through white. PowerPoint has always had a "Smoothly" which simply moves from one page/slide to the next without going through either black or white. It results in a very professional look and is especially useful for songs where you need something quick and subtle between pages. We dare not use any other transition and avoid anything startling. The addition of a "Smooth Fade" would be very helpful. Harold, ...

Remote app enhancement

I have a suggestion to improve the Remote app for the benefit of the congregation's visual experience. When controlling a script remotely and selecting a lyric cue, it fires the first page. If the worship band start with the chorus which might not be the first page (often the second or third page) the congregation will have to see the first verse and then the chorus. If the remote app was changed so that when a song is selected it displays the song but does not change the main display until the ...
