Has anyone had problems remoting in the build the service? I keep having issues with my screens being rearranged after remoting in to make the service.

Hey Chris,

What software are you using to remote into your computer? Also, do you have a Dedicated Graphics card on this computer? If so, can you confirm that ALL screens are connected to that one graphics card?

Thanks,

I am using Team Viewer. The PC is a Media Shout PC my church bought from media shout. All the screens are plugged into the same graphics card. There are 3 screens. One at the PC, and 2 at the front of the sanctuary. The screen at the pc shows up as control. The screen on the left side of the sanctuary shows up as stage, and the right side screen shows up as Main.

Hey Chris,

I have not noticed this before with TeamViewer. Have you looked into the cabling that you use to connect these screens? Is it possible that the connection is being dropped and is causing the computer to have issues?

I was told from a tech a Media Shout that the problem exists because I was running my Media Shout 6 without the other two screens being on. That is causes the software to loose the screen config. I was told to run the Media Shout 6 display config tool to fix that issue. I have also run into resolution issues where I have to change the screen resolution in Windows to fix other screen issues. The problems have stopped since I quit trying to remote into the desktop to set up my services.

Hey Chris,

Ah, yes that could be part of the issue. Are you using MediaShout 7 as well? Or just MediaShout 6?

Just Media Shout 6. It really is a pain. Because now I can't leave to go out of town without going to the church to build the service. It use to work just fine. When I first installed the system I was able to be out of town and remote in on a Saturday to build the service. Now I can't do that. Does Media Shout 7 have the same requirement? Do ALL the used screens have to be on when opening and running Media Shout??

Hey Chris,

I wouldn't say that this is normal. But, I could see why it would be happening. If you haven't already, it would be worth it to run through and reset the Graphics Configuration Registry by opening the Display Setup Tool and clicking the Having Problems button. Then, restart the computer and reconfigure your screens within Windows and MediaShout (you'll want to do this when you are physically there at the computer). I have seen in the past where that will the configuration stay more consistent.

Let me know how that goes if you decide to try that.

Hey Chris,

No worries. Just get back with me and let me (Ryan@MediaShout.com) know how it goes.
