Saving modifications or edits to lyrics.

I imported our entire library of songs from Mediashout 5 to Mediashout 7 (MS7). Most songs have imported without a hitch. However, there are a few that need tweaking. I can tweak them in script when I insert a cue, but that is not great on the fly. MS5 allowed me to edit the lyric file so that every time it is inserted, that changes were already made. Is this functionality not in MS7 yet or have I not been able to find it. I would like to modify the lyric file so that every time I insert it into a script, the changes I have made are always there.

Hey Lisa,<br /> <br /> Sorry for the delay. In MediaShout 7, there is the Cues Library. This is where all of your edited and adjusted lyrics/Scriptures/Announcements/etc. will be stored. So, once you pull in your lyric for the first time (and make all of the necessary adjustments), you would then go over to the left side and click the &quot;Star&quot; icon to add that cue to the Cues Library (located on the very right side when you click the larger &quot;star&quot; icon).<br /> <br /> I hope this is helpful!<br /> <br /> -Ryan

If I understand correctly, I cannot save changes to the lyrics in the lyric library. In order to save any modifications to a lyric cue, it must be saved to the cue library. There is no way to modify lyrics in the lyric library, correct?

Hey Lisa,<br /> <br /> Yes, that is correct. The Lyric library just stores your lyrics. This is used to pull in the lyrics for the very first time. Then, you add a background and adjust the text and save it to the Cues Library for next time.<br /> <br /> I hope that makes sense!<br /> <br /> -Ryan

So I'm going to have about 2000 songs in the lyrics database and 400+ in the Cues Library. Is this the way it was designed to work?

Hey Terry,<br /> <br /> That sounds like good numbers.<br /> <br /> -Ryan

So, you don't see an inherent problem with this design?

Terry,<br /> <br /> No, I don't. If you don't use all of those 2000 songs, I might suggest cleaning that up a bit. But, that's it.<br /> <br /> -Ryan
