When you attempt to access SongSelect, if you are getting an error "HTTP Status: 400" that displays either of the following dialog boxes, your computer's internal clock is not set correctly. You will need to "Adjust date/time" in Windows and make sure the Time, Date and Time Zone are set correctly.
If the error dialog displays either of the following errors, your stored login information does not match what SongSelect is expecting. In this case, go to Tools > Settings > Songs, click the 'SongSelect' button and click 'Reset SongSelect Connection'. Then select 'Close' and 'OK'. (It may appear that nothing happens when you select the 'Reset' button, but it did.) Then try using SongSelect and you should be prompted for your login information again.
If the error dialog displays the following message, you are probably using an apostrophe or other punctuation in your search and your software is not up to date. This has been fixed in recent builds, so please update to the most recent build.
The SongSelect integration in MediaShout uses certificates to verify the accuracy of the information exchanged and the security of the connection. Part of that process involves a time-stamp, and if your computer's clock isn't set to the correct date, time and time zone the certificate will not verify that the connection is secure and valid. Additionally, the connection also needs access to certain 'ports' in your internet service, so it is possible that settings in the router or firewall that your internet connection passes though may prevent the connection from succeeding. Particularly aggressive anti-virus software can also block MediaShout from accessing SongSelect, so be sure to check that as well.
