If you are experiencing what seems to be a random crash with MediaShout, or odd display issues, check to see if you have an AMD Video card. If so, there could be a couple of third party applications called Raptr and/or Plays.TV that were automatically installed with an update to the AMD driver. Many of our customers that have these installed have experienced various problems and crashes with MediaShout. Those issues were resolved by simply uninstalling these add-on programs which are oriented toward video gamers, and do not provide any functionality that is needed for MediaShout.
Unfortunately, there is not an option you can select to prevent these items from being installed, but if you go to Control Panel > Programs & Features, you can manually uninstall them as you would any other application.
The links below come directly from Plays.TV and AMD. They may provide more useful information concerning these applications and how they can impact system performance.
