Welcome to MediaShout for Mac!
Attached to this form is a "MediaShout for Mac Checklist". You will use it to keep track of your progress as you learn the basics of MediaShout.
Below is our "Beginner's Guide" to each step found within that MediaShout for Mac Checklist.

I Downloaded and Installed MediaShout for Mac Successfully.
- Go to our Downloads Page and read the information on that page. Then, when you're ready, click on the "Download" button
- Open and run the .dmg to begin the installation of MediaShout
- Click Finish to finish the installation
I set up my screens to display my slides properly.
- Go through the steps in this article to set your screens properly
I started a new script and Inserted a "Text Cue".
- Open MediaShout and go to the File Menu in the top left and choose New Script
- Click on the Insert Elements Menu at the top of the program and choose Insert Text Cue
I started a new script and Inserted a "Blank Cue".
- Open MediaShout and go to the File Menu in the top left and choose New Script
- Click on the Insert Elements Menu at the top of the program and choose Insert Blank Cue
I inserted a "Lyric Cue".
- Click on the Insert Lyrics button at the top of the program
Find the song that you want in the list on the left and then click Insert Lyrics in the bottom right corner of the Lyrics Window
I inserted a "Bible Cue".
- Click on the Insert Bible Button at the top of the program
Select the Bible Version/Book/Chapter on the left, select the verses that you want by checking the box for each, then click Insert Bible in the bottom right corner of the Bibles Window
I added a picture or video file from my computer to a cue.
- Click on Insert Elements at the top of the program and choose Media
- Search your computer for the picture or video file that you'd like to bring in, select it, and click Open to add it to that Cue in your Script
I changed the background of one of my cues.
- Go to your Lyric or Bible Cue that you've just inserted
- At the top of the program, click on the Change BG button
- Choose For this Entire Cue and then select Image or Video
- Search your computer for the Image or Video that you want to bring in and select it
- Click open to add it
I adjusted the formatting on an object! ("Object" = Text box or media item on a cue).
- Go to your Lyric or Bible Cue
- Click on the text box in the middle of the program
At the top of the program, you'll see all of the options for Font Style/Size/etc.
I successfully saved the program and closed out the software. I've done the basics!
- Go up to the File Menu in the top left and choose Save As
- Choose where you want to save the file (your Desktop or Documents or the default Scripts folder)
- Name your file
- Click Save and then exit out of the software.
