Fix for Activation Fail/MediaShout Will Not Launch

*You may need your license code to launch MediaShout after installing the update to build 74 if coming from a version prior to build 73. Please find this first or send an email to support@mediashout.com with the church name, church address, name of any person who could have ordered MediaShout, and any possible email it would be under with a request for your license code. We will attempt to look it up and send it to you so you can perform this update. If you HAVE your license code but it says you have no available activations, please email your license code to support@mediashout.com so that we can reset it.

WINDOWS:

1. Make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of MediaShout 6 which is build 74. You can check to see that even without opening the program, by right clicking the MediaShout 6 icon on your desktop, then going to Open File Location. Then right click on the MediaShout 6.exe file and go to Properties, then go to the Details tab. It will say the product version is 6.2.74.11309. If it says anything EARLIER than that, please go to mediashout.com/download and save/run the latest installation file.

2. You can then try to activate the program. If it CRASHES when trying to activate, do step 3. If not, skip to step 4.

3. Download and open this Activation Fix.bat

4. Open MediaShout, activate it, and re-register the computer. (If you do not have your license code available, you can locate that by logging into the account on our website which your software was purchased under. If you cannot locate it there and need to request us to look that up, please provide as much detail as possible about the purchase in your ticket, email or chat. Version 6 license codes are always an 18 digit number beginning with 3555. If it says that you have no available activations, you must email us with the requested info above in red, and we will clear it off for you.)

If you are updating multiple computers, save a copy of the download to a flash drive and repeat these steps on each system. 


MAC:

Mac users simply download and install the file on mediashout.com/download. You will be required to reactivate the program if coming from anything prior to build 73.
