Larger thumbnails in Remote App

I've started testing the remote app on my Android phone, it has a diagonal screen of 5.5 inches but the icons for the parts of the script and especially lyrics are rather small, almost unreadable. On the front of the app there is the ability to select large thumbnails, can we have an option to select extra large too. (About twice the size of the large thumbnails.)

Paul,

If it is a standard phone and the thumbnails are fitting the screen, then they cant get much larger.

The option for Large Icons was designed to only work with tablets. It could be your device may look like a tablet to the software and is giving you those options. I will need to test this and get back to you. For now, I suggest not using this option. If you are running in Portrait Mode, try tapping on the slide. It should remove the top bar and go full screen.

Paul,

I just tested on an Android device with a 6.5 screen. It does give the option for Large Icons, but I think this is an option that should not be available as using it has no benefit on small displays.

I think the issue you are seeing is a result of the aspect ratio on the phone and what you are displaying are different. The images displayed on the phone will be the same aspect ratio that you are displaying to the screen. So once the top and bottom of the image hits the sides of the phone display, they will not get any larger. To make them get larger, would mean cutting off part of what is being displayed, which could mean the text.

I hope this clarifies things.

This is a screen grab showing how small the thumbnails are and how difficult it is to see the correct lyrics to present to the congregation.

My apologies Paul,

I was under the impression you were running in landscape mode where the thumbnails are full screen. I will look into this and see if this is an option we can add to the next update.

However, just to be on the same page, the options for Large Icons is only an option for Tablets. So I can't promise it will be something we can add.
