Error after installing b277 or later: Unable to Locate Component

After updating an old build of MediaShout to build 277 or later you may experience an error that indicates a file is missing. The error is usually worded like this:

If this occurs, you will need to follow these steps to correct the issue:

1. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, and uninstall MediaShout (this will not remove your My Shout folder, but we always recommend having a backup of that folder).
2. Reinstall using the update you just downloaded or the latest full installer located in the link below (always save updates to disk before installing).
   • The following dialog will notify you that MediaShout isn't installed.  You can click 'OK' to continue.
      
3. Test again after installation is finished.

This process should install the files that were previously missing and MediaShout should run correctly. If this is not the case, please contact our customer support team for further assistance.

NOTE:  DO NOT install from any v4 disks. If you have an old installation disk, it is still useful for installing the media, but you will be better served by downloading the latest full installer.
