Changes & Improvements in MediaShout 7.6.6
- IMPROVEMENT - Improve Search bar function in Cues Library
- When using the Search bar at the top of the Cues Library, it used to require extra clicks and it was too cumbersome. So we made that more intuitive!

- IMPROVEMENT - Simplify the display names in the settings
- The names of each display in our Display Settings used to contain extra characters that Windows includes internally. You don't need to see those, so we stripped them out to make those names a bit prettier and easier to read.

- IMPROVEMENT - A downloaded SongSelect lyric is now selected in the list after download
- After downloading a song from SongSelect in Lyrics and then switching back to My Library, the song was shown for arranging and editing, but it was not selected and shown in the list on the left. That was annoying, so we changed it to have that list scroll to the currently selected song right away.

- IMPROVEMENT - Enlarge icons in the Lyrics > Edit mode
- The function icons on the left side of the Lyrics > Edit mode were too small and difficult to distinguish, so we made them bigger!

- IMPROVEMENT - Add Lyrics database connection status indicator
- There are occasionally times when (for a variety of reasons) the Lyrics database can become disconnected or otherwise not work correctly. In those situations it was difficult to know for sure whether it should be working or not. So we added a status indicator at the bottom of the Lyrics window so you can easily tell if it should be working.

- IMPROVEMENT - Add control to reset Lyrics database connection if it has disconnected
- Related to the previous item, if the Lyrics database has been disconnected or shut down in the background, when the indicator is red (to show that status), there will be button next to that so that you can attempt to reestablish the connection. Hopefully that will resolve the situation, but if not, you will know that something is definitely wrong and begin troubleshooting by restoring a previous backup or contacting our support team for more help.

- IMPROVEMENT - Simplify the Crop function and move controls to toolbar
- Graphic objects have the option for you to crop them within our software, but the way that was implemented previously was less than idea. We have now moved the Apply and Cancel buttons (icons) up to the toolbar and have revised that feature to work more reliably than it was previously.

- IMPROVEMENT - Add new Help menu item for MediaShout website
- We want to make it easy for you to access all of the additional info about our products on our website (like Plus Membership, PC systems, etc), so we added a link to that information at the top of the Help menu. (You're welcome!)

- IMPROVEMENT - Quick Cues UI improvements
- Quick Cues can be a helpful feature, but the way they worked wasn't exactly clear at times. We have now added some new controls and changed the user interface to hopefully make creating, editing, and using those easier.

- IMPROVEMENT - Update NDI to support new NDI 6 runtime
- Periodically other tools which we integrate with update their software. NDI released an updated NDI 6, so we now incorporate support for that latest version of the NDI Tools and features within MediaShout 7!

- IMPROVEMENT - Speed up and improve progress feedback during installation
- Our installer used to be rather uninformative during installation by having the progress bar go most of the way through and then just sit there while it finished up what it was doing. That was often confusing for users, and it seemed to take a long time occasionally. We have improved the way the progress bar reflects the actual status of installation, and we think we've actually sped up the process as well.

- IMPROVEMENT - Create an error dialog for cases where the installation fails
- Every now and then, something can cause our installer to fail to complete the installation. When that happened previously, there was no message shown to let you know that happened or what to do about it. (Sorry.) We've addressed that by adding a message which will explain that something went wrong, and it will provide a link to the error log so that we can help you diagnose and correct any issues more quickly and easily. We hope this helps in the rare event that something goes wrong, but we mostly hope that you never see this dialog!

- IMPROVEMENT - Add uninstallation options dialog
- In those instances where you need to uninstall MediaShout from a system because you're finished using it there, or for troubleshooting purposes, there used to not be any option to control what was uninstalled. And by default we always left your user files in place to protect those! Sometimes, though, you really do want to remove EVERYTHING, so we now give you the option to decide what to remove (or not) during the uninstall process. But be careful: If you check the optional (non default) checkbox to remove everything, IT WILL BE GONE!! So please read your options and choose wisely. [The default option if you change nothing is exactly what we've been doing previously and is very safe.]

- FIXED - Using 'Edit' on more than one Lyric cue causes replacement of original lyrics
- A long while back we added the option to right-click and select Edit if you needed to make substantial changes to a lyric cue that was already in your script. That is often very helpful, but we only recently noticed that if you used it more than once in a session, it replaced the second and later lyrics with the first song you used it on. (Um... that's BAD!) So we fixed that as quickly as we could! [Interestingly, no one ever reported that issue to us that we know of, but it happened to our staff. Sorry if that caused you any grief.]

- FIXED - Svenska Bibeln and Tree of Life do not work correctly in a Dual bible cue
- We don't speak Swedish, but some our users do, and they reported a problem when using the Swedish bible to create Dual Bible cues. While fixing it we also discovered the same thing happened with the Tree of Life bible, so we have fixed both of those. Some changes were made in the software itself, but we also modified the bible database file too, and either one should fix this issue. If you want to be on the safe side and have both fixes (along with other minor bible file updates), feel free to go to Settings > Bibles and re-download the bible file to update yours to the latest version.

- FIXED - The FX (Effects) settings don't open when you press hot key (Ctrl + E)
- We love keyboard shortcuts to speed up our work, and MediaShout 7 has quite a few of those. We found, however, that the one for the FX settings window (CTRL + E) was not working, so we fixed it. It's really nice when you are editing those settings a lot to be able to use that shortcut now!
