Upgrading to MediaShout 7: A Step-by-Step Guide

If you're thinking about upgrading to MediaShout 7, this guide will walk you through the entire process—and show you how easy it is to bring your data with you.

Before You Start

Download and install MediaShout 7 from www.mediashout.com/download.

Once installed and activated with your license, you're ready to migrate your data from your older MediaShout version.

Migration Steps

1. Import Your Song Library

Your song library is the first thing you'll want to bring over. We have a step-by-step guide for importing from any older MediaShout version.

If you're coming from MediaShout v1 or v2, email Support@mediashout.com for custom migration steps.

2. Download Bible Versions

In MediaShout 7, navigate to:

Settings → Library → Bibles

Click Download. This may take a few minutes.

Once complete, return to the same location to set your Default Bible Translation.

3. Configure Your Screens

Make sure your screens are set up correctly in Windows and MediaShout for presentations.

Follow the screen setup guide to get everything working properly.

4. Transfer Your Media Files

Use a flash drive or cloud storage to transfer images and videos from your old computer to your new one.

Place them in an easily accessible location, then in MediaShout 7 go to:

Settings → Library → Media

Browse to set your Image and Video folders. Your media will then appear in the Library tab on the right side of MediaShout.

5. Import Your Presentations (MediaShout 6 Only)

If you have Script Files from MediaShout 6 that you'd like to bring into MediaShout 7, go to:

Insert → Import → Import from v6

MediaShout 7 is optimized for Windows 10 and 11. Some features from earlier versions may not be available in v7.
