How to Upgrade to MediaShout 7 from ANY older version

If you are making the upgrade (or thinking about making the upgrade), this article will show you exactly how easy that process is!
 

The first thing you'll want to do is download and install MediaShout 7 (if you haven't already): www.mediashout.com/download

Then, once you have the program installed and activated with your license, we can then begin bringing over your data from your older version of MediaShout.

1. The most important thing that you'll likely want to bring over is your song library. We have a step by step guide for doing this from any older version of MediaShout. Here are those steps.
If you are coming up from MediaShout v1 or v2, please email Support@mediashout.com for the steps on how to transfer the song library.


2. Next, you're likely going to want to download all of the Bible Versions that we have to offer. To do that, open MediaShout 7 and go up to Settings > Library > Bibles and click on the Download button

After a few minutes, you'll get a message that the Bibles have successfully downloaded to your program. At that point, you can go back up to Settings > Library > Bibles to set the Default Bible Translation.

3. Next, let's make sure your screens are set up correctly in Windows and in MediaShout to run a presentation correctly. For that, click Here to go through the steps to get everything working properly. 

4. Use a Flash Drive or Cloud Storage to transfer the Media Files from your old computer to this new computer. On your new computer, put these media files into a good location that is easily accessible. Then, inside of MediaShout 7, in Settings > Library > Media, you can Browse to set your Image folder and your Video folder. Then, you will see all of your images/videos in the Library Tab on the right side of MediaShout.


For MediaShout 6 customers ONLY: If you have any Script Files (presentations) that'd you like to bring into MediaShout 7, you can do that by going into MediaShout 7 and up to Insert > Import > Import from v6. 

MediaShout 7 is proudly built and optimized for Windows 10 and 11 systems. Because of this not all features of earlier versions of MediaShout software is in MediaShout 7.
