Setting Up an Announcement Loop in MediaShout 7
This guide shows you how to create an automated announcement loop using the Script Control Plug-in. You can loop a single cue or multiple cues in sequence.
Single Cue Loop
If you have one announcement cue that needs to loop repeatedly:
1. Select Your Cue
On the left side of MediaShout 7, click the announcement cue you want to loop.
A small Clock Object will appear on the cue. This is where you set the Advance Time—how long the cue displays before moving to the next page or repeating.
2. Set Advance Time
Click the Clock Object and set how long you want this cue to display before advancing.
3. Open Script Control Plug-in
On the right side of MediaShout 7, click the Script Control Plug-in to open that panel.
4. Enable Auto-Loop
Check the box for "After the current cue play ___ cue".
In the dropdown, select your announcement cue (e.g., "Announcements").
The cue will now loop automatically based on the Advance Time you set.
Multiple Cue Loop
If you have multiple announcement cues that need to loop in sequence:
1. Select Your First Cue
On the left side of MediaShout 7, click your first announcement cue (e.g., "Announcement 1").
2. Set Advance Time for First Cue
Click the Clock Object on the cue and set the Advance Time for how long this cue should display.
3. Open Script Control Plug-in
On the right side, click the Script Control Plug-in.
4. Set Next Cue
Check "After the current cue play ___ cue" and select your second announcement cue (e.g., "Announcement 2").
5. Select Second Cue and Set Advance Time
On the left side, click your second announcement cue.
Click the Clock Object and set the Advance Time for this cue.
6. Complete the Loop
Open the Script Control Plug-in again (right side).
Check "After the current cue play ___ cue" and select the first announcement cue to loop back to the beginning.
Your announcement cues will now cycle automatically in sequence.
