Auto-Advance Cues at the End of Video or Audio

MediaShout 7.2.8 introduced Auto-Advance—a simple way to move to your next cue automatically when a video or audio file finishes playing. Perfect for keeping your service flowing smoothly without manual button clicks.

Before You Start

Make sure you're running MediaShout 7.2.8 or later. To check your version, go to Help > About.

Step 1: Add Your Media

In your script, create a new cue and insert your video or audio file as an object. Go to Insert > Insert Media Files and select your media.

Step 2: Open Script Control

On the right side of MediaShout, click the Script Control plugin to open it.

Step 3: Enable Auto-Advance

In the Script Control panel, check the box for Automatically Advance Cue After End of and select your video or audio file from the dropdown (it will show NONE until you select one).

MediaShout will now move to the next cue automatically when your media finishes playing.

You're All Set

Your cue will now advance automatically when the video or audio ends. No more manual clicks—just smooth transitions during your service.
