Welcome to MediaShout 7
Getting started with MediaShout is simple. This beginner's guide walks you through the essential steps to build your first presentation.

1. Download and Install MediaShout 7
- Go to the Downloads Page and click Download MediaShout 7.x
- Open and run
MS7_Win.exeto start the installation - Click Finish when installation is complete
2. Open the Welcome Slideshow
- When you first open MediaShout, the Welcome screen appears. Double-click Welcome to MediaShout 7.sc7x to open the slideshow
- Double-click the first cue on the left side to begin the presentation
- Use your Spacebar to advance through slides (or let them play automatically)
3. Set Up Your Screens
- Follow the steps in this article to configure your display and audience screens properly
4. Create a New Script and Insert a Blank Cue
- Open MediaShout and go to File > New Script
- Click Insert > Insert Blank Cue
- Name your cue and click Create
5. Insert a Lyric Cue
- Click Insert > Insert Lyric Cue
- Find the song you want in the list on the left, then click Insert Lyrics in the bottom right corner of the Lyrics window
6. Insert a Bible Cue
- Click Insert > Insert Bible Cue
- Select the Bible version, book, and chapter on the left. Check the box next to the verses you want, then click Insert Bible in the bottom right corner of the Bibles window
7. Add Media Files (Picture or Video)
- Go to your Blank Cue (or insert a new one via Insert > Insert Blank Cue)
- Click Insert > Insert Media Files
- Search your computer for the picture or video file you want, select it, and click Open to add it to your cue
8. Change a Cue Background
- Open a Lyric or Bible Cue (or insert a new one)
- On the right side, click the Layers tab and select Background
- In the Background Settings window, go to Image/Video and click Browse
- Select the picture or video file you want as your background and click Open
- Click Save Changes
9. Format Objects (Text and Media)
- Open a Lyric or Bible Cue
- Click on the text box in the middle of the screen
- Use the formatting options at the top of the program to adjust font, size, color, and style
10. Save Your Work
- Go to File > Save As
- Choose where to save your file (Desktop, Documents, or the default Scripts folder)
- Name your file
- Click Save and close the software
You've completed the basics! You're ready to build your first presentation in MediaShout 7.
