Using vMix to stream your MediaShout presentation

To stream the signal going out to your TV screen using vMix, you essentially want to capture whatever video is being displayed on your screen (or sent to your TV) and use that as a source in vMix for live streaming.

Here’s a step-by-step guide based on a few scenarios:

✅ What You’ll Need:
vMix software (installed and licensed on your PC)

Proper cabling (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.)

A streaming platform (YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, etc.)

🔁 Streaming the signal that’s going to a TV
If your TV is just a second monitor (extended) from your PC, and you want to stream what’s being shown there:

1. Enable Screen Capture in vMix
Open vMix

Click "Add Input" > "Screen Capture"

Choose the display that corresponds to your TV output (e.g., Display 2)

Click OK

2. Add the Screen Capture to the Output
You can preview and transition this input to the program output

Click Stream (top right) to start streaming

💡 Tip: You can also record, external output, or use NDI from this point.

🌐 Configure Your Streaming Destination
In vMix:

Go to Settings > Stream

Select your streaming provider

Enter your stream key and server URL

Click Start Stream

🛠 Troubleshooting Tips
If your TV is not showing as a screen, make sure it’s enabled in Windows Display Settings.

Adjust audio settings to ensure you're also capturing system or input audio in vMix.
