Exporting Cues as Images, PDFs, or Text
MediaShout 7 lets you export cues from your script as images (.jpg or .png), PDFs, or text files (.txt). Perfect for printing scripts for your media team, archiving cue designs, or sharing layouts with volunteers.
Export a Single Cue
Step 1: Select Your Cue
Open your script in MediaShout 7 and click the cue you want to export.
Step 2: Open Export Options
Go to File > Export.
Step 3: Choose Your Format
Select one of these export options:
- Export as Images (.jpg or .png) — saves as individual image files
- Export as PDF — saves as a single PDF document
- Export as TXT — saves text content only
Step 4: Choose Destination
Click the folder icon next to the Destination field and select where you want the file saved on your computer.
Step 5: Adjust Settings (Optional)
The Export window offers additional options for resolution, page size, and other settings. Adjust as needed for your use case, then click Export.
Export Multiple Cues or Your Entire Script
Step 1: Open Your Script
Open your script in MediaShout 7. No need to select individual cues—the export will include all of them.
Step 2: Open Export Options
Go to File > Export.
Step 3: Choose Your Format
Select one of these export options:
- Export as Images (.jpg or .png) — saves each cue as a separate image file
- Export as PDF — saves all cues as pages in a single PDF (recommended for multiple cues)
- Export as TXT — saves text content from all cues
Pro tip: Use PDF for exporting multiple cues—it keeps everything in one document instead of separate files, making it easier to print and share with your team.
Step 4: Choose Destination
Click the folder icon next to the Destination field and select where you want the file saved.
Step 5: Adjust Settings (Optional)
Customize resolution, page size, or other options as needed, then click Export.
When to Use Each Format
- Images: Individual visual references or archiving cue designs
- PDF: Printing scripts for your team or sharing layouts with volunteers
- TXT: Quick text-only reference or importing into other documents
