Version 4 imports v2 song libraries differently than v3, but the process isn’t difficult. With a v2 file, you can simply assign that database file as the current song library in the v4 settings, and v4 will recognize that it is a v2 file and offer to convert it. Deactivating MediaShout v4 & Computer ID

Uninstalling MediaShout v4 does NOT automatically deactivate the software, so it is necessary to follow this process before removing the software from a computer on which you no longer intend to run MediaShout. Importing a v3 Song Library into v4

To use MediaShout v3 songs in v4 you will need to import them into the v4 database. If you have MediaShout v3 installed on the same machine, then you can use the v3 database (Songs3.mdb) located in My Shout > Song Library. If you do not have v3 installed on the same machine, you can copy the file from another computer that does have it installed and bring it to the computer and import it into v4. When you install MediaShout v4.x it only installs a couple of bible versions by default. In the Full version of MediaShout v4, you can go to Tools>Resource Manager and get them there. Occasionally, when attempting to use a song from the song library an error will occur: "tx4ole13" "The current text area is too small. (1-2602)" . Why can't I access any fonts other than "Device Font 10cpi"?

Sometimes users will experience an issue where the only font that is accessible when editing text is "Device Font 10cpi". This usually happens because there is no default printer set up in Windows. To fix this, you need to go to your printer preferences and select a printer as the default. This setting has an influence on what fonts are available in MediaShout.

Setting the "DISSOLVE" speed of text.

MediaShout processes transitions differently depending on whether you are using a still background or a motion background. This can cause some confusion because the process to change a transition setting is dependent on which type of background and transition you are changing. Exporting a cue to a graphic file

The composite image of a cue (i.e., the image the audience sees) can be captured like a screenshot and saved as a .jpeg file. Clean Templates

If you need to reset your v4 templates, you will need to download the attached file, unzip it, and place the contents into your templates folder. The templates are located in your My Shout\V4\Plugins\Cue Templates folder. You can simply delete the files in that folder and replace them with these original templates. Note: _These templates are for version 4 and will not work with version 3 of MediaShout._
